About

As of April 1, 2023, all regional health authorities and the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information are transitioning to a single provincial health authority.

Storytelling is as old as language itself, but is finding a new purpose as organizations around the world introduce themselves through stories about their people and their purpose.

The health care environment, by its very nature, is ripe with human drama: intense; challenging; triumphant; emotional. In short, a workplace bursting with stories that can both inform and inspire the reader.

Eastern Health has developed StoryLine: Our Voices, Our Story to share our many stories with the public we serve.

They include everything from profiles of our many programs and services, unique or innovative approaches to treatment, advances in equipment and technology, community partnerships and profiles of employees, physicians and volunteers who go the extra mile, win awards, or reach significant milestones in their careers.

Sometimes, even a picture can tell a story!

StoryLine is written by Eastern Health employees in their own voice – telling their individual and collective stories about their work and interaction with our patients, clients and residents.

We hope that you, our readers, enjoy learning about us – who we are, what we do, and how and why we do it – as much as we enjoy telling you!
